Paris Hilton Pulls an Angelina Jolie!

Sure she’s in South Africa to hang with her boyfriend Benji Madden and his band Good Charlotte on their tour, but Paris Hilton is a sucker for loving on orphans!

The “Hottie and the Nottie” starlet was spotted doing a little humanitarian work yesterday in Pretoria. And from the looks of it, the kids loved her.

Miss Hilton stopped by the Jacaranda Children’s home for orphans to brighten up the day for the home’s residents. She wore a beautiful white dress along with a Kentucky Derby-style hat as she schmoozed with the youngsters. One of them even brought her a bouquet of flowers!

And while South African orphans love her, it seems that environmentalist groups are slamming Paris for her 12-day 20,000 mile flight schedule. Apparently the heiress is using too many fossil fuels in too little time, hence increasing the pollution in the air.

Paris Hilton Was Named As Woman Of The Year!

Socialite Paris Hilton is off to Harvard University, and no, it is not for studies, but because she is being named as the University’s Woman of the Year.

According to the New York Post’s Page Six, the Simple Life star will be stopping by the Cambridge, Massachusetts institution on 6 February (08) during a promotional tour for her new movie The Hottie and the Nottie.

She will be picking up her award from Harvard's Hasty Pudding Club the very next day.

Ladies who have won the Women of the Year award in the past include Scarlett Johansson, Halle Berry and Sarah Jessica Parker.

Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie Seen On Double Date!

American socialite Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie were seen on a double date on Friday Mar 14. The two were seen at the Los Angeles opening of identical twin brothers Joel and Benji Madden's first DCMA Collective clothing store.

"It's not the first time we have all hung out," Joel told Usmagazine.com. "We have obviously known Paris for a long time, and [Nicole and Paris] have known each other for a long time, so it's nothing new," he added.

Joel and Nicole had welcomed their baby daughter, Harlow in January 2008, while Benji and Paris made their romance public late last month. Paris revealed that the four of them would often get together, however they usually spent their time at home.

"[Nicole and Joel] really don't go out, so we mostly hang out at her mom's house with the baby and watch movies and cook," she added. Paris has just been going on and on about the store opening, which had attracted The Hills' Audrina Patridge, Pete Wentz and Nicky Hilton and her beau David Katzenberg.

"They are really cute," Paris told US mag of the DCMA collection. "They work with some of the most amazing graffiti artists to make these really cool T-shirts that no one really has," she added.

When asked the reason for their clothing line being named DCMA, Joel said it represented the place where they came from. "We are from a small town outside Maryland, and we used to go to punk rock shows. This just represents where I'm from: Washington DC and Maryland," he said.
